Notifications
Stay informed about what matters in your family — and get only the updates you want.
What are Notifications?
Notifications keep you informed about what matters in your family — new posts, comments, reactions, birthdays, event reminders, family requests, and more. They surface the moments worth knowing about as they happen.
You can manage your notification preferences across in-app, push, and email, so you only get what you want. Tune each channel independently and turn off anything you'd rather not receive.
Tapping a notification takes you straight to the relevant post, comment, event, or request — no searching required. Every notification is a direct link to the activity that prompted it.
Why It Matters
Family moments are easy to miss. A new photo, a comment on a memory, a birthday, or an event reminder can slip by when life gets busy — and once missed, those small connections are hard to recover.
Notifications make sure the people and moments that matter reach you, without overwhelming you. Because you control what you receive across in-app, push, and email, you stay connected to your family on your own terms — and every notification links straight to the activity, so it's always one tap to engage.

Example Usage
Scenario: Maria wants to stay close to her family's day-to-day moments without being buried in alerts.
When her sister posts new photos from a weekend trip, a notification appears automatically. Maria taps it and is taken straight to the post, where she leaves a reaction and a comment.
Later, an event reminder for her nephew's birthday party arrives as a push notification, and a family request from a cousin shows up in-app. Each one links directly to the relevant activity, so she can respond in a tap.
Maria opens Settings to fine-tune things: she keeps push notifications on for events and family requests, leaves in-app notifications on for everything, and switches reaction notifications to email only — receiving exactly what she wants across each channel.
