Privacy & Security

Understand how A2Me protects your family's data and privacy.

Visibility settings are at the core of A2Me's privacy model. Every piece of content you create — posts, stories, events — has a visibility level that you control. Understanding these settings helps you share confidently with the right audience.

Family restricts content to your direct, confirmed family connections. This is the default and most private option. Distant Family extends to your wider family network, including second-degree connections. Public creates a shareable link that anyone with the link can access, but the content is not discoverable by search engines or shown to non-connected users in the app.

You can change a post's visibility after sharing it. If you made a post public and want to restrict it later, simply edit the post and change the visibility. The public link will stop working immediately. This gives you full, ongoing control over who sees your content.

A2Me is designed to be a safe space for families, but we understand that conflicts can arise. If you need to block someone, visit their profile, tap the three-dot menu, and select Block. Blocked users cannot see your profile, posts, or stories, and they cannot send you messages or connection requests.

Blocking is a private action — the other person won't be notified that you've blocked them. They will simply no longer be able to interact with your content or profile. You can unblock someone at any time from your settings.

If you encounter content or behavior that violates A2Me's community guidelines, you can report it by tapping the three-dot menu on any post, message, or profile and selecting Report. Our moderation team reviews all reports and takes appropriate action to keep A2Me safe for everyone.

A2Me believes you should always be in control of your data. From your Settings page, you can view a summary of all the data A2Me stores about you, including your profile information, posts, messages, and connections.

You can request a full export of your data at any time. A2Me will compile all your content — posts, photos, videos, messages, and profile information — into a downloadable archive. This ensures you always have a personal copy of your memories, even if you decide to leave the platform.

A2Me does not sell your data to advertisers or third parties. We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the service, and we're transparent about what we collect and why. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.

Keeping your A2Me account secure is important for protecting your family's private content. We recommend using a strong, unique password that you don't use on other websites or apps. A good password is at least 12 characters long and includes a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.

For an extra layer of security, enable two-factor authentication (2FA) from your account settings. With 2FA enabled, you'll need to enter a verification code from your authenticator app or phone each time you log in from a new device. This prevents unauthorized access even if someone obtains your password.

A2Me also monitors for suspicious login activity. If we detect a login from an unfamiliar device or location, we'll send you a notification and may require additional verification. You can review your active sessions from your security settings and sign out of any device remotely.
