Posts & Stories

Share moments, photos, and stories with the people who matter most.

Creating a post on A2Me is the primary way to share moments with your family. Tap the + button in the bottom navigation bar to start a new post. You can write a text update, add photos or videos, or combine them all in a single post.

Write what's on your mind in the text area. You might share an update about your day, a funny story, a family recipe, or a memory from the past. A2Me is designed for meaningful sharing, so take your time and share what feels right.

Before posting, you can choose who sees your post using the visibility selector. Pick from Family, Distant Family, or Public depending on how widely you want to share. Once you're happy with your post, tap Share and it will appear in the feeds of your chosen audience.

Photos and videos make your posts come alive. When creating a post, tap the camera icon to add media from your device's photo library, or tap the capture button to take a new photo or video right from the app.

You can add multiple photos to a single post, which is perfect for sharing a collection of moments — like photos from a family gathering, a vacation, or a child's milestone. Swipe through the images to see them all. Videos can be up to 60 seconds long and will play inline in the feed.

A2Me automatically optimizes your photos and videos for fast loading while preserving quality. Your original media is stored securely in the cloud, so you won't lose anything even if you change devices later.

Everyone makes typos or changes their mind. A2Me makes it easy to edit or delete your posts after they've been shared. To edit a post, tap the three-dot menu (⋯) on the post and select Edit. You can update the text, change the visibility, or modify the attached media.

To delete a post, tap the same three-dot menu and select Delete. You'll be asked to confirm before the post is permanently removed. Once deleted, the post and all associated comments and reactions will be removed from everyone's feed.

Keep in mind that if someone has already seen your post, editing or deleting it won't erase their memory of it. We encourage thoughtful sharing, but know that you always have control over your content.

Every post you create on A2Me has a visibility setting that determines who can see it. This is one of the most important features of the app — it puts you in complete control of your content's audience.

Family is the most private setting. Only your direct, confirmed family connections will see the post in their feed. This is ideal for personal moments, private family matters, or content meant for your closest circle.

Distant Family extends visibility to your wider family network, including connections that are a few degrees removed. This is great for announcements, celebrations, or updates that the broader family might enjoy.

Public makes your post accessible via a shareable link. This is useful for events, invitations, or moments you want to share beyond your family network — like with friends, coworkers, or your community. Even public posts are not indexed by search engines or shown to strangers in the app.

Stories are short, visual updates that disappear after 24 hours. They appear at the top of your feed in a horizontal row. Tap the + on your story circle to add a new story. You can share a photo, a short video, or a text card with a colorful background.

A2Me also features Story Prompts — thoughtful questions designed to spark meaningful sharing within your family. Prompts like "What's your earliest childhood memory?" or "What family tradition do you cherish most?" encourage everyone to share stories that might otherwise go untold.

When you respond to a story prompt, your answer is shared as a story that your family can view and respond to as well. This creates a beautiful thread of family memories and perspectives that everyone can enjoy. Prompt responses are saved to your profile even after the story expires.

Sometimes you'll want to keep a copy of a photo a family member shared. When the person who posted it allows downloads, you can save a copy from the photo's options menu — look for Download photo.

Downloaded copies carry a small A2Me mark and credit to the person who shared them, so the memory stays connected to your family even outside the app. If a photo can't be downloaded, it's because the person who shared it chose to keep it in-app.

You control this for your own photos, too. In your privacy settings you can choose whether family can download your media by default, and you can override that choice on any individual post.
