Messaging

A2Me's messaging feature lets you have private, one-on-one conversations with your family connections. Tap the message icon in the top navigation bar to open your conversations list, then tap the compose button to start a new conversation.

Search for the family member you want to message and tap their name. You can send text messages, and the conversation is private — only you and the other person can see it. Messages are delivered in real time, so you'll see responses as soon as they're sent.

Your conversation history is preserved, so you can scroll back through old messages anytime. This is great for referencing details from past conversations, like addresses, recipes, or plans you discussed.

Group conversations let you chat with multiple family members at once. When composing a new message, select two or more family members to create a group conversation. You can give the group a name — like "Holiday Planning" or "Grandma's Birthday" — to keep things organized.

Everyone in the group can send messages, and all members see the entire conversation. Group chats are perfect for planning events, coordinating family activities, or just staying in touch with a specific group of relatives — like your siblings, cousins, or the whole family.

You can add or remove members from a group conversation at any time. New members will see the full conversation history from the point they were added. If a group gets too noisy, you can mute notifications for that specific conversation without leaving the group.

Make your conversations more expressive by sharing media. In any conversation, tap the attachment icon to send photos and videos from your device. You can also take a new photo or video directly from the chat interface.

Shared media appears inline in the conversation, so both you and the recipient can view it without leaving the chat. Tap any photo or video to view it in full screen. All media shared in conversations is stored securely and remains accessible in the chat history.

Sharing media in messages is a great way to send personal photos and videos that you might not want to post to your feed. It keeps intimate moments between you and the people you're chatting with, adding another layer of privacy to your family communication.

KAI is A2Me's built-in AI assistant, and you can chat with KAI directly from your messages. Look for KAI in your conversations list — it's always available and ready to help with anything related to A2Me.

You can ask KAI questions about how to use the app, get suggestions for post ideas, ask for help writing a caption, or even request story prompts tailored to your family. KAI is designed to be helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about all things A2Me.

Your conversations with KAI are private and not shared with other family members. KAI uses your interactions to provide better suggestions over time, but your data is never sold or shared with third parties. Think of KAI as a personal assistant dedicated to helping you get the most out of A2Me.
